In 1964, Carl Hitt and Dan Misseldine partnered up and opened Hi-Desert Plumbers. In 1977, Carl Hitt changed the name to Hitt's Plumbing Co. In 1979, Carl and his wife Wynona Hitt moved to Oklahoma and sold the company to the oldest son, Chris Hitt. Chris Hitt dropped the "s" off Hitt's Plumbing, and it became Hitt Plumbing Company Inc. Chris Hitt is presently the owner and quotes "The secret to his success is his great employees." Chris and his two sons, Chad Hitt and Carl "Cj" Hitt; daughter, Carrie Hitt; step son, Dee Johnson; step daughter, Rachelle Elmquist.
